Covid Guidelines
The health and safety of our patrons, employees and volunteers are our priority. What to expect during your next visit?
What can you expect as our venues welcomes audiences back for Live performances?
The entire Thane Dunn team is excited to welcome you back and to share our love of live performing arts together. We are working hard to make sure your next visit to our venues is a pleasant and safe experience. We thank you in advance for doing your part to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Like in all public areas, patrons must wear a face mask and endeavour to keep 6 feet between themselves and others who are not part of their household or “close contact bubble.” In order to ensure the safety of everyone present, no exceptions will be made to the mandatory mask policy.
Until further notice, live performances at our venues will be presented at reduced capacity in order to allow physical distancing of 6 feet between bubbles.
Purchasing tickets
Tickets can be purchased in person or by phone only. You will be assigned seats according to the number of tickets desired / the size of your “bubble” (places will be very limited so first come, first served). For the time being, online purchases are not available for physically-distanced performances.
To reduce the handling of paper tickets, we strongly recommend purchasing e-tickets which can be downloaded to your smartphone.
Anyone experiencing the sudden onset of symptoms is encouraged to contact the Box Office and take advantage of our free ticket exchange policy up to 3 hours before the show.
It will be mandatory for all staff, volunteers and patrons to wear a face covering while in the building. In order to ensure the safety of everyone present, no exceptions will be made to the mandatory mask policy. Disposable masks will be made available to patrons who do not bring their own. The only time the mask can be removed is once seated in the hall and only to consume food or beverages.
Screening and sanitizing
Patrons will be asked to read a series of screening questions and use hand sanitizer upon arrival. Those unable to attend the event as a result of answering the screening questions will be referred to the Box Office for a refund.
Going to your seat
Volunteer ushers will greet patrons at the orchestra and balcony level entrances and show patrons to their seats. Patrons must remain in their assigned seats while in the hall.
Washrooms
To promote physical distancing, washroom capacity is limited and floor markings will indicate safe distancing while in queues.
Cleaning and disinfection
All high-touch surfaces including door handles, railings, counter surfaces, washroom fixtures and light switches will be cleaned and disinfected before and after all events.
The main hall seating will be disinfected following each performance.
Contact tracing records
Only upon request from public health officials – the names, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers provided on the venues account used to purchase tickets will be securely shared with the NB Department of Health for the purposes of facilitating contact tracing.
Our staff and volunteers
Our team follows a comprehensive COVID-19 Operational Plan that provides protocols and procedures to keep staff, volunteers, artists and visitors safe and to reduce the risk of virus spread. Our plan is informed by the latest advice and guidance of public health officials and includes the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), health checks, physical distancing, and cleaning and disinfection.
